Hello, I am Chloe
I work as a project manager. I am a parent. I’m an expat living in Paris, France.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn't in the original plan. Like many international relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more meaningful.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and rising expectations. Daily tasks seemed more tangled than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Humble Stone Ridge
What motivated me to create Humble Stone Ridge?
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a candid, everyday family point of view.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real-life experience in France.
